About Us
We Value:
-
having a heart for God
-
being like Jesus in life
and ministry
-
teaching our children and youth
to live and minister like Jesus
-
incorporating wounded and hurting people into the Kingdom of God
-
prayer as foundational in all we do
-
dynamic worship
-
Bible-based preaching and teaching
Our dream is to be an equipping church where people are:
-
called into the Kingdom (evangelism)
-
equipped for ministry (discipleship)
-
sent out for ministry (mission)
As a result, we function like a mission center where we:
- develop ministry teams that will provide opportunities for its
members to grow in their ministry gifts
- focus the priority time of our leaders on apprenticing others
for ministry (at Good Shepherd & beyond)
- develop ministry relationships with leaders and churches in
other nations
- partner with others who have similar values and vision
- express our values by investing in people (rather than projects)
- give priority to those efforts that will expand the Kingdom of
God
Good Shepherd DNA (our roots):
Good Shepherd is part of the
Hopewell
Network of Churches. As a Hopewell church we value: dynamic
worship; caring Home Groups; and, exciting children / youth ministry.
