Green Dragon Outreach

Keith & Carol Hershey are leading an outreach at the Green Dragon every Friday through August 1. They rented a stand and are presenting the gospel in partnership with a mime team and an organization called Christian Farmer's Outreach. Opportunities to participate:
 + Mime group. The leader is willing to train others in miming for this outreach.
 + Presenting the gospel message.
 + Praying for the outreach
To find the stand, look for the Christian flag flying on a 25 foot pole.

Baptism – July 20

We will celebrate baptism this summer on July 20. If you are interested in baptism, please talk to Allan Yoder (adults), Ed & Anne Weaver/ Paul & Robyn Rittenour (youth) or Dwayne & Kendra Musser (KOW participants).
The event will be held at the meadow and creek at John & Lori Zimmerman’s. Direction will be provided.
We will begin with worship at the Good Shepherd Center and adjourn earlier than usual to go to the baptism site. We will have the baptism followed by a picnic at about 12:30 pm. We would be delighted if you would stay and enjoy the pavilion and the creek following the baptism.
Picnic details:
Families should bring a main dish and a side (salad or dessert) and singles should bring snacks (cookies or chips, etc.) and a gallon of drink. Please bring your own serving spoons. Paper supplies will be provided.

Back-to-School Celebration - August 24

at Woodcrest Retreat at the Oak Shade Pavilion from 4:30-8:30 p.m.  The water slide will be available for Good Shepherd and friends from 4:30-6:30 p.m.  Each family should provide their own picnic supper and drink.  There will be a campfire to make your supper.  Please bring lawn chairs and any outdoor games you would like to play.

The vision of the event planning team is to reach out to the community around us and to create an atmosphere for people to feel the love of Jesus.

The event planning team consists of Paul & Missy Lapp, Clyde Winegardner, Mike & Renee Reed, Steph Yarberough, Stacy & Lois Zimmerman, and Mike & Joanna Parkhurst.
