Kids Mini-Camp - July 9-11

The 2010 Heroes Training Camp for Kids will be the weekend of July 9-11.
Mini-camp will begin Friday evening and end during public worship on Sunday morning. 
Please help your children pray for and invite their friends.
Register by June 25th to get the discounted rate:  $15 per person or $35 per family.

Play Dates… Fun in the Park! – Tuesday, July 20 (10am - 1pm)

Bring your kids… and your friends! Even if you don't have kids, you're invited to come and hang out with us!
Bring a packed lunch. A small snack and drinks will be provided!

Robert Stevenson – Sunday, June 27 (10:30am & 6pm)

Robert is the pastor of Monte Maria in Mexico City.  He will preach in the morning worship service.  The elementary children are invited to stay in the adult service for the sermon if they would like.  All children will be in the adult service for worship.

Church Picnic – Sunday, July 18

The Good Shepherd Church Picnic will be Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Zimmerman’s Meadow following the regular worship service in the morning. Families should bring one hot and one cold dish. Singles should bring drink & snack to share.  Soft serve ice cream will be on tap all day. Bring your lawn chairs. This is a day for relaxation, fun, fellowship, playing in the creek, fishing, volleyball, quoits and horseshoes. Bring your outdoor games! Hope to see you there!

Baptism and pool party – Sunday, August 8 - (rain date August 15)

We will celebrate baptism this summer on Sunday, August 8, 8:00-10:00 pm at the Adamstown Pool. The pool will be available for swimming following the baptism.  If you are interested in being baptized, please talk to Allan Yoder (adults), Ed & Anne Weaver/ Paul & Robyn Rittenour (youth) or Dwayne & Kendra Musser (Impact 2:67 participants).

Mission Team to Costa Rica (July 14-23)

A team of youth and adults will travel to Costa Rica for a mission assignment with Pura Vida Mission.  They will be involved in service projects, servant evangelism and children’s ministry.

Mission Team Options (2010)

If you are interested in a Mission Team option in 2010 and have not yet indicated your interest, please do so ASAP. Teams are being formed for the following locations:
     ·  USA (summer) – for Jr/ Sr Youth and Young Adults
     ·  Costa Rica (July 14-23) – 8th grade and High School
     ·  Mexico (late summer/ fall) – ages 18 and over
     ·  Kenya (April 2011) – ages 18 and over (young adults)

Young Adult group

The single young adult group meets on the second and fourth Saturday evenings of each month.

Single Young Adult Group Meeting Changes in April

Due to the youth retreat on April 10th, the young adults will not be meeting.  Doug and Kris Graybill will be hosting the young adults at their house on Saturday, April 24, at 7:30pm.

Married Young Adult group

The married young adult group meets on the second Saturday night of each month at 7:00pm.  We desire to help each other grow closer as a couple and to Jesus.  We gather to have fun as well as learn about marriage related topics.  An opportunity to build a deeper relationship with your spouse, God and other couples.  Please talk with Nelson or Treva Bollinger for more information.
