Impact Kids Ministry

We believe as children live out Colossians 2:6-7, they will make an impact in their homes, schools, region, and around the world. Our team desires to journey with your family – and to encourage your children as they grow during their years in kids ministry at Good Shepherd. Each Sunday, our caring volunteers provide a safe place for the children from 6 months–6th grade to play, learn foundational truths about Jesus, and experience the presence of God in age-appropriate opportunities.

Youth

We believe today’s youth are called to serve the Lord right where they are—at home, at school, in their communities, and even around the world. They don’t need to wait until adulthood; God is already using this generation in powerful ways!

Youth Group is open to all students in grades 7–12. We meet every Wednesday from 7–9 pm. Be sure to check the church calendar for upcoming events and activities!

Bible Quizzing

Many of our youth participate in Bible quizzing every winter (Jan-Mar), studying one or several books of the Bible and quizzing against other teams throughout the local area. It’s amazing to watch the quizzers learning God’s Word in such a fun way!

Connect Groups

The Purpose of Connect Groups is to provide an opportunity for each person at GSCC to have a place where we can connect deeper with God and others – growing in our personal relationships with Jesus and one another, practicing our gifts, and learning to pray for, connect with, and reach out to the people around us who don’t know Jesus yet.

Connect groups meet twice a month in homes.

Missions

At Good Shepherd, one of our core values is making disciples everywhere: sharing the love and truth of Christ with our neighbors and the nations.

Some of Jesus’ final words on earth were a commission to those who follow Him as His disciples. “Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20

As part of the Hopewell Network, we are connected to multiple international networks of churches. We also encourage, pray for, and support many from our congregation who are involved in long-term and short-term mission assignments. Cross-cultural missions is part of our DNA.
